do any of you guys know how to set a permanent screen name in MineOS (linux) I created a command called console so I can view my minecraft server via Putty so I dont have to keep doing screen -list to get the name of the screen that the server console is using. heres my sh script: screen -r 18264.mc-Winterlands
it works however every time I start the server the id in-front of the .mc changes everytime making the script no longer work.

cant do it. only way to generate a static PID is to recode the way fork() works.

thinking out loud and haven't tested it. you should be able to use;
screen -r `screen -ls | grep "detached" `
to attach back to the session without having to manually find the PID
