Oh wow i totally missed that... so the fibre is up - ? you want me to send you a nice dark fortress Grimnir? ?
No the server is still up skull, use https:// to get that one, remember to use the admin page or index 2 shortcut
I have a mining pool on http port mapped to a physically seperate machine i was sick of not using and did something with.. i usually ssh to the dark fortress so stealing port 80 wasnt an issue
Grimnir could even host a space engineers server ;o)

BTW Grim - sky mesh were offering 100/100 symmetrical plans *drool*
apparently they provision a 1000/100 or something but shape it to 100/100 then use the other 900mb to subsidise their other subscribers..
pretty clever all told..
and 100 up.. did i mention 100 up..
its like Tier 5.5..

No skymesh available yet. Was planning on getting them as my 3rd link once they have active CVC's and shutting down the TPG one. for now sticking with my TPG link for every day stuff, and my Optus Busness one for servers / the wifes work Mmmm.. Messy cables. UNIV-1 - TPG UNID-1 - TPG 100/40 ==> Black & Red Microtik router (wifi disabled) ==> everything else in the house (cables and by my spider WAP - get usable connection at the park ~300M way from the house (more if I mount the WAP higher and horizontal) UNID-2 - OPTUS 100/40 ==> White Microtik router to my work servers & wifes work PC

I can probably restart the MKI dark fortress server, and copy the world into the training server placeholder; depends how fkin big it got since i checked it last.
Not sure what hardware I have sitting around that will handle a space engineers server tho, which can be spared, short of fully loading the old dark fortress server with ram; and throwing a less than optimally licenced terminal server install on there..
Whatever happened to the unit we considered for the upgrade to the dark fortress.. you had to use it for a client job or such yes?
Here is a silly idea totally unrelated to it all, get two optic fibres with the same ISP, one set to 100 up the other set to 100 down, and plug them both into that mikrotik..... silly i know, ISPs wont give you 100 up... when you could be paying them 20 times as much to host your server for you at half the bandwidth.. in their office rofl..
Man ISPs in oz are so out of touch with reality.. heard the other day you can get 1000 symmetrical in a number of what we considered 3rd world countries in asia the other day... unlimited downloads.. the ceo of one of those companies wanted to enter the australian market but was quoted as saying "australian internet is shit" and stuff like "what incentive is there for anyone to pay for a 100mb connection when the government legally only requires the internet provider to have QOS at 11mb.. people will just ask why pay extra when they can get the same speed if they get a 11mb connection" or words to that effect.
Although interestingly he also said, apologetically if they do start selling plans in Oz, they will offer a free upgrade from FTTN to FTTP as a way to make up for the shit service clients would have to put up if we get a change in government who brings fiber back.

hardware doesn't matter to much. As I have a single xeon server here which I can load with 32-64GB RAM (cant remember how many slots it has) will just need a drive with the data to migrate back after loading the OS afresh. (unless it boots straight off the old drive)

if you are talking space engineers if you have steamcmd version this command will get you space engineers dedicated server on your desktop, and can be used to update it weekly steamcmd.exe +login anonymous +force_install_dir %userprofile%\desktop\space1 +app_update 298740 +quit
if you are talking minecraft, ill just send you the entire server; most of the parts in it you supplied anyway, but as skull suggested i'll back it up first to another machine in case it gets bounced or ran over or something.
You may want to private message me the current shipping address, the only thing i have (if i can find it) is your old business card from.. years ago. Also when you know what the new IP is ill need to probably update one or all of the DNS's people use to connect to it.. (ah crud that means my mining pool will need a new hostname.. no matter its not listed publically yet anyway)
