I doubt we'll have any 'winner's here to be honest. The game (along with all the other voxel sandbox wannabes like planet explorers etc that AREN'T mmos like "No Man's Sky") don't gain much traction and often don't even make it past beta. That combined with the fact that migrating to them means players will have to purchase a new game means quite frankly we'd have a total playerbase of around 5. Not worth the effort. What is worth the effort is thinking about and planning for and working with sponge.

If its a buy once host many software license like minecraft tho, cant hurt. We have about 10 chronological "eras" in TDF
If we can use more modern looking games to represent other places - all the more fun. Never know when the next major "minecraft" style fad will be. Even Keens new medeival game could be used if we wanted to build a prequel server after the Alpha war, but before they found or reverse engineered the Dark fortress and the brotherhood starbase tech.
